FOUNDER & CEO
Afrah Mir is an educator, facilitator, and social impact strategist with over a decade of experience working across education, sustainability, and community development in the UAE.
Her work focuses on designing applied learning experiences and curated gatherings that bridge education, character development, and real-world impact. Afrah has worked closely with schools, universities, youth initiatives, and impact-led organisations to develop programs that move beyond theory and into practice.
Having navigated education in the UAE as a student, educator, and institutional leader, Afrah brings a systems-level understanding of how learning, leadership, and sustainability intersect. Through AFLECT, she leads the creation of educational programs and collective experiences that are grounded, human-centred, and action-oriented.
How We Align with the SDGs: The UN Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared global framework for addressing today’s social, environmental, and economic challenges. At AFLECT, the SDGs act as a guiding reference—not a checklist. Rather than treating them as targets to claim, we use them as a lens to design learning experiences and collective initiatives that translate global goals into local, meaningful action.
